Customer Services Officer
Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve, Norfolk
Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve is seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Customer Services Officer to join our welcoming team at the Visitor Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public and has an interest in wildlife and conservation, to contribute to the smooth running of a busy and much-loved nature reserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming visitors and providing excellent customer service at the front desk
- Answering telephone enquiries and directing queries appropriately
- Opening and closing the Visitor Centre
- Operating the till and handling daily cashing up
- Supporting volunteers and working collaboratively with staff and wardens
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation within the centre
- Replenishing shop stock and maintaining equipment (e.g. coffee machine)
- Promoting membership and supporting the work of the reserve
- Ensuring health and safety compliance while on duty
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with the public
- Is organised and able to work in a busy environment
- Has excellent communication and telephone skills
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and a strong team player
- Is confident using computers and basic IT systems
- Has good numeracy and attention to detail
- Has an interest in wildlife and conservation
Working Pattern & Pay
- £12.71 per hour
- Part-time: Friday to Sunday (09:15 – 16:15), every third weekend
- Additional hours available to cover staff leave and sickness
- 6 days paid annual leave
- Training provided
Additional Information
- This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (paid for by the Trust)
